Does Your Creative Self Feel Homeless?
Is your life surrounded by a structure that supports your creative self? A life where your heart feels “at home.”
I think of a home as a place where you can express yourself. Display art, photos, collectibles and objects that hold special meaning and memory for you. Where you feel the freedom and space to express your creativity: cook, sew, create art, play games, build legos, garden, decorate and actively engage in other activities that inspire your creativity and fill your heart with joy. A home that creates the feeling of “This place feeds my soul!”
Is your work with an organization where you engage in meaningful activity, where people see the value of your contribution? Your skills, energy and experience make a difference? Do coworkers and others who are directly impacted by your work, appreciate and support you? Is this a place where you feel safe and comfortable, trusted and respected?
OR is it that you do not want or need a home to feed your soul? Are you good enough with just being inside a place with your furniture, your TV, a comfy bed and food to eat? Just earning income to get to the next day?
I think of places that don’t feel like home as long term hotels - ranging from low end with terrible service to high end with amenities that may feel good for a short time. Either way, when I don’t feel at home, my soul quickly enters the closet, feeling homeless.
